At home, as a young child, I have fond memories of looking through my mom and dad's photographs. My sister and I would pile them on the floor once a week, and look through them one by one. We would talk and listen to the stories each photograph held. I loved these moments. My grandfather, Poppy (pictured to the right), shared this same love of capturing moments and telling stories, A strong bond grew between us. I know my passion and love of photography comes from the time we spent together. And I honor his memory, and our mutual love of photography, by now documenting your stories.
So that you too can have timeless, beautiful imagery to share with your loved ones.

After 12 years capturing special moments and celebrations, I've seen just about everything. From ceremonies in the rain and complex family dynamics, to vendor challenges and timeline delays. Because of this, I can anticipate things like when a timeline is off and how to get it back on track. I know how to adjust your veil and dress before you walk down the aisle. And how to use light and surroundings to capture a consistent and timeless style - regardless of place or time of day.
I bring all of that experience and expertise to your day. So you can trust, no matter the situation, I am prepared and ready to make it as special as possible.

Prior to becoming a professional photographer, I had the pleasure of teaching high school special education for nine years. Throughout that experience, I worked closely with my students' families to make them feel confident and comfortable that they were in the best of hands. And I learned how to provide instruction with great patience and care.
Fast forward to today, I bring that same patience and care to your wedding day. You don't have to worry about feeling uncomfortable, because I will guide you with poses that naturally make you look and feel yourself. And I will be there to provide instruction to you and yours every step of the way.

I'm a team player and an enneagram 9 all the way. Whether it's helping your grandmother navigate the ceremony steps or keeping a handful of bobby pins in my apron for flyaways. I'm there as a team player and to be helpful to everyone involved in your wedding day. And I instinctively know when to give you space and when to step in, because I take time to get to know and understand you from the beginning.
Because at the end of the day, your happiness is most important to me. Both with the experience you have and the beautiful images you will receive.

My husband, Aaron, and I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with our two Westies, Winston and Barley. I am fortunate to start every wedding morning with a home cooked breakfast by Aaron and a warm cup of coffee...or two. Although many moments make me tear up on a wedding day, I love the beautiful moment of a father-daughter first look.
When I am not photographing weddings, you can find me curled up with a mystery novel or a glass of red wine. My husband and I love taking advantage of the North Carolina sunshine on the Outer Banks during the Summer months. And traveling to our favorite European destinations.
There is nothing more important in life than making memories together. And now I hope to help you do the same.
